Moving together, advocating for climate protection, creating awareness of sustainability, and using the unifying power of sports: These are the goals we set together with Gymnasium Lohne. Our collaboration is now officially declared and will be filled with life.

In 2022, Gymnasium Lohne joined our initiative, and now our active collaboration is kicking off. The decree "Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in public general and vocational schools as well as schools under private sponsorship" came into effect in Lower Saxony on June 1, 2021. The aim of the decree is to contribute to developing a clear understanding of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in schools, anchoring ESD systemically in teaching and school culture, and further developing it qualitatively. Now is the right time to pick up the ball again and bring the collaboration to life through targeted actions.

Education for sustainable development and sports can be an excellent combination. Additionally, sports have great significance in the lives of students: sports are enjoyable and motivate engagement for a common cause. We want to activate this power for the protection of our climate by educating ourselves together, discussing, developing, and implementing project ideas. This can happen, for example, during the next project week or in the form of a jersey exchange organized by students for students. Everyone can participate.
